Saw Mill Association Mission Statement

The Saw Mill Association ("SMA") strives to build a strong community by providing a forum for sharing information,
connecting neighbors, promoting activities and fostering civic involvement in our wonderful neighborhood.

The SMA addresses areas of shared responsibility for the residents of Saw Mill Road and its connected streets,
such as maintenance of the front entryway, police protection for Halloween, and other shared expenses that benefit all residents.
Socially, we promote activities within our neighborhood, such as the Annual Family Block Party and Halloween Party.

We offer an opportunity for neighbors to bring forth their concerns and problems,
providing direction and connecting them to resources for further investigation of their issues.

We operate as a conduit of information for our neighbors by providing an open forum at our annual meetings,
maintaining a membership directory, a private Facebook page and web site,
we keep our neighbors aware of city events, local issues and potential developments
and changes in the neighborhood.

We are responsive to our community’s needs through the relationships we build with our neighbors,
neighborhood businesses, volunteer organizations and the City of Stamford.
